Sheddon’s Holiday Food & Toy Drive

At Sheddon Physiotherapy and Sports Clinic, we strongly believe in being involved within the Oakville community and giving back to those who have supported us throughout the years. This holiday season we are supporting the Oakville Firefighters and Fair Share Food Bank in spreading cheer and supporting families in need during this festive season. By donating non-perishable food items and toys, you can join us in making a difference. Drop off your contributions at our clinic and let’s light up the holidays together for those who need it most.

Food Donations

Food donations are in support of the Fair Share Food bank, a non-profit organization providing food to those in need in our community. They are currently serving more than 1500 families in the Oakville community. Now more than ever they appreciate our help.

Here is a list of items they are always short of:

Dry goods:

  • Rice (700gm to 950gm)
  • Instant Coffee (Regular and Decaf)
  • Pasta/Rice Side Dish
  • Crackers
  • Jam
  • Oatmeal
  • Tea (Regular, Green, Herbal)
  • Toiletries

Kids & baby:

  • Nut-free cereal bars
  • Pudding/Fruit cups
  • Baby Cereal
  • Pull-ups 4T, 5T
  • Diapers sizes 2-7

We will be collecting food until Dec 22nd.

Toy Donations

Every year Sheddon has participated in the Oakville FireFighters Toy Drive. All donations are distributed directly to local families, institutions and community agencies supporting children and youth in the Oakville and Halton Region. Based on emerging information, need is expected to be higher this year as both families and family services organizations increasingly struggle with rising costs. Oakville’s firefighters are hopeful that together with the community, we can meet this challenge and help ensure young people do not have to go without a holiday gift this year.

All donations are sincerely appreciated; however, the area of greatest need will be gifts for youth ages 11 to 15. Some gift ideas for this age group include:

  • gift cards,
  • sports equipment,
  • electronics,
  • posters,
  • calendars,
  • journals,
  • school supplies,
  • backpacks,
  • clothing (winter hats and gloves),
  • jewelry,
  • hair accessories,
  • cosmetics,
  • blankets,
  • shower products,
  • movies and movie passes.

To assist in gift sorting, please ensure your gifts are new and unwrapped.

We will be collecting Toys until Friday Dec 15th.

Get into the holiday spirit and help others in the Oakville community have a merrier Christmas!
