Michael Porreca, Physiotherapist

Michael’s passion lies in helping people get back to what they love doing. He places emphasis on a personalized treatment approach that incorporates strength training and manual therapy techniques to assist with managing pain, increasing function, and preventing injury. Michael’s goal is to provide people with appropriate tools to manage their pain throughout their day to day, whether at work, in competition, or at home.

Michael graduated with his Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Toronto. During this time Michael gained experience working with a variety of populations including acquired brain injury rehabilitation, orthopaedic private practice, and general medicine. Prior to his Master’s degree, Michael attended McMaster University, completing a Bachelor of Commerce and working with McMaster’s varsity football team as their student field therapist. During this time Michael expanded his knowledge and hands-on skills managing and treating a variety of sport injuries.

Michael is also a passionate ski instructor and has been teaching for several years to people of all ages and ability levels. Alongside Michael’s skiing passion, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, golfing, and anything else that gets him outdoors.
