Keirstyn Moran
Dr. Keirstyn Moran is an enthusiastic chiropractor who has always had a main focus in sport therapy. She completed her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in Toronto at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2017. After graduating, she moved to Muskoka and worked at a clinic that specialized in sport therapy and then spent the past 3 years working at a busy sport therapy
clinic in downtown Toronto.
Keirstyn first realized she wanted to become a Chiropractor at the age of 14 when she sustained injuries through competitive dance. While at the University of Ottawa obtaining her Bachelor of Human Kinetics (Hons), she ran varsity cross-country and track. She continued to struggle with injuries which drove her to cross train in swimming and cycling. From there she began her athletic career in Triathlon.
Keirstyn is passionate about learning new skills and techniques from peers, mentors and continuous education. Her philosophy is educating her patients so that they are able to feel autonomous in their own health and wellness.
She believes that the collaboration between health care professionals is the key for patients to receive optimization of their health and performance in sport. Therefore she makes sure to know other providers’ techniques in order to send her patients to the right provider.
Keirstyn’s practice is patient centred and functionally based. She works through a detailed history and physical in order to find the route of the problem and come up with a personalized plan of management for each patient. Before treating her patients she makes sure to educate them on what to expect. Her treatment style includes education, mobilizations/adjustments of the spine, rehabilitation exercises, modalities, taping techniques, and soft tissue techniques including, Myofascial Release Therapy (MRT).
